11.05.06 Boys Soccer

Exeter 1, Pinkerton 0: Exeter won the Class L boys soccer championship, its fourth in six years. Sergio Guindon scored on a pass from Nick Utter for the win.

11.05.06 Girls Soccer

St. Thomas Aquinas 1, John Stark 0: Allison Megna found Katie Foley for the game's lone goal 8 minutes, 50 seconds into overtime for STA’s first Class I title. Goalie Alyssa Smith made seven saves for the shutout.

Exeter 1, Merrimack 0: Exeter won their first girls soccer Class L championship. Tricia Tufts scored with 17:41 left in the first half to give the Blue Hawks a 1-0 lead and eventual victory. Exeter goalie Jenn Nichols and Merrimack goalie Ashley McRoberts each were credited with five saves.

11.04.06 Football

St. Thomas Aquinas 14, Somersworth 10: Mike Barr's 1-yard touchdown run with 1:11 to play helped St. Thomas overcome a 10-7 deficit. Barr's TD was set up by a poor Somersworth punt that gave the Saints the ball on the Somersworth 36-yard line. St. Thomas put together a nine-play scoring drive, and the key play in the drive was an 11-yard halfback pass from Chris Melanson to Ryan Berridge on third and 8.

Portsmouth 32, Milford 0: Portsmouth received two touchdown runs from junior fullback Reed Spiller, a touchdown run and a touchdown pass from senior tailback Rod Walker, and a touchdown run from senior quarterback Ben Smith.

Bishop Guertin 48, Manchester Central 12: Quarterback Eric Laliberte threw for one score and returned an interception for another. Tailback, Tom Cummings, rushed for 98 yards and a touchdown on 10 carries.

11.03.06 Football

Merrimack 24, Alvirne 14: The Tomahawks had two 100-yard rushers, with Gabe Dano running for 148 yards and a go-ahead touchdown on 21 carries, and Greg McDonough garnering 101 yards and two TDs on 16 carries.

10.29.06 Boys Soccer

Lebanon 1, Bow 0: The lone goal came in the 108th minute, when a mistake in Bow's defensive backfield sent Lebanon on a two-on-none break. Goalie Nate Royer stopped the first attempt, but Kyle Brockway slotted home the game-winner into the open net. Brandon Guidotti got the assist.
