11.10.07 Football

Plymouth 34, Souhegan 0: Plymouth won their 33rd straight game to claim the Division III football championship. Shawn Sweeney led the Bobcats with 70 yards rushing, while Tom Howard and Tim Farina combined for 58 yards. Farina capped the scoring with a 31-yard touchdown run.

Laconia 35, Hanover 14: Laconia dominated the final three quarters to capture the D-IV football title. Christian Birt rushed for 119 yards and caught 4 passes for 97 — scoring three touchdowns. Robert Moss rushed for 88 yards for the Sachems and Brian Bozek finished with 11 tackles.

11.03.07 Boys Soccer

Merrimack 1, Londonderry 0: Merrimack won its first Class L boys soccer title. Junior David Ywoskus ended the first half with a goal to give the Tomahawks the win. Goalie Kevin Pelsinski made 11 saves for the shutout.

11.03.07 Volleyball

Gilford 3, Portsmouth 1: Fourth-ranked Gilford claimed the DII state championship over second seeded Portsmouth. Bristol Whitcher and Lindsey Carr combined for 18 assists and 15 kills. Megan Korber finished with nine kills and three blocks for the Golden Eagles.

11.01.07 Boys Soccer

Moultonborough Academy 1, Lisbon 0: Kevin Eisenberg scored the game's only goal 17:39 into the first half. Goalie Eric Moriarty powered the Panthers with a 10-save shutout. Lisbon outshot MA 10-3.

10.31.07 Girls Soccer

Oyster River 1, John Stark 0: In the 38th minute, Bev Cole connected with Sara Faulkingham to break a scoreless tie. The Bobcats took 16 shots to the Generals' five.
