12.13.06 Girls Hockey

Burr and Burton 7, Brattleboro 0: Jennifer Coppin scored twice to lead BBA. Erin Forester, Lou Lou Wheeler, Aimee Bailey, Chelsea Edson and Hannah Corkum contributed one goal apiece for the Bulldogs.

Burlington 4, Essex 0: McKenna Hayes scored one goal and set up two others for BHS to go over the 100-point mark in her career. Trisha McGrath recorded two goals and Kaitlin Hayes contributed one for the Seahorses. Katie Farnham posted the shutout with 25 saves.

12.13.06 Girls Basketball

Randolph 41, Northfield 35: Gwen Reis led the Ghosts with 20 points and 12 rebounds. Ellen Rickert tallied 11 points and Laura Ostrout scored nine for the Marauders.

12.13.06 Boys Hockey

Rutland 3, Essex 2: Alex Porrier scored twice for Rutland, including the game-winning goal. Jason Olson also scored for the Raiders and goalie T.J. Bowse made 27 saves.

South Burlington 6, Spaulding 1: Alex Davidson scored three goals and Greg Babbitt recorded five assists to lead SBHS. Rob Quinn, Drew Richard and Andrew Kaufman added single tallies for the Rebels. Jason Foley came up with 24 saves.

12.12.06 Girls Basketball

Rice 63, BFA-St. Albans 54: Stefanie Johnston scored a team-high 18 points to lead Rice. Katie Dorey added 14 points and Kelli Hier contributed 12 for the Green Knights. Tiffany Johnson paced BFA with 21 points.

Spaulding 53, Middlebury 47: Linsey Barclay led Spaulding with 11 points and seven rebounds. Kristy Thygesen added nine points, and Brittany Tullar and Marissa Velez had eight points apiece. Jill McDonald scored a game-high 18 for the Tigers.

12.12.06 Boys Basketball

Milton 65, BFA-Fairfax 51: Brian Phelps scored 21 points and Stuart Bell tallied 18 to power the Yellowjackets past Fairfax. Josh Demar and Maxx McNall had 11 points each for BFA.

Mount Abraham 58, Otter Valley 53: Kevin Labas led Mt. Abe with 19 points. Will Manley (13 points), Chad Estey (12) and Trent Roleau (11) also reached double figures for the Eagles.
