Brattleboro 33, Essex 18: Ryan Turner scored on runs of 6 and 20 yards to power Brattleboro. Scooter Scott had a 72-yard interception for the Colonels. Essex scored three touchdowns, but could not convert any two-point plays.

Burlington 37, Rice 0: Andrew Plumley ran for 205 yards and four touchdowns to lead BHS. Burlington scored on four of its first five possessions in the first half. Plumley ended with 205 yards on 29 carries.

Otter Valley 48, BFA-Fairfax 14: Erik Becker rushed for 141 yards on 13 carries, including 79 in the first quarter. Corey Robinson was 11-of-17 for 178 yards and two touchdowns.

09.30.06 Boys Soccer

Stowe 6, Winooski 0: Will Bradford led Stowe with three goals. Jeremy Lachtrupp, Josh Boguslofski and Brian Davis also scored and Tyler Proulx made five saves.

09.30.06 Girls Soccer

Burlington 2, BFA-St. Albans 1: Tonya Conley and Theresa Strenio tallied for the Seahorses. Jennifer Kernoff stopped 13 shots.

09.29.06 Football

Mount Mansfield 35, Winooski 14: Connor Gallagher, Greg Pinette, and Jack Dubuque accounted for most of MMU's rushing attack. Gallagher led the Cougars with first-half touchdown runs of 22 and 17 yards.

Colchester 26, Milton 6: The Lakers got two touchdowns from Jamie Mumley, a 19-yard run and a 5-yard TD reception from Bryan Johnson.

Vergennes 1, Milton 0: Jannah Hammach scored on an assist from Abby Benton to get the win for Vergennes. Megan Scott-Tisbert made two saves.
